Bulgarian Cheese & Egg Toast (Princess Sandwiches)

📝 Ingredients:

  • About 600 g cottage cheese
  • 4 eggs (adjust as needed)
  • Bread slices
  • Butter (for spreading)

🥄 Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 220 °C (428 °F).
Spread a thin layer of butter on each bread slice. In a bowl, combine the cottage cheese and eggs, mixing until you get a thick, spreadable mixture.

👉 The texture is important:

  • If the mixture is too thick, add a bit more egg.
  • If it’s too runny, add more cottage cheese.
    It should be thick enough to stay on top of the bread without dripping over the sides.

Spread the mixture evenly over the bread slices. Place them in the oven, then lower the temperature to 180 °C (356 °F) and bake for about 9 minutes, or until the tops are golden and slightly crispy.
